- I am married to a wonderful man. I have one son, one deceased daughter, Christy, a granddaughter, Brooke, and a step grandson, Kyle. I have authored one nonfiction book, "Tried by Fire" that candidly reveals how my daughter's twenty-seven month illness impacted our lives and emotions. I am victorious. I am a survivor. I survive because of HIM. And I know with God 'all' things are possible. He has brought me through so much, and without Him I would not have made it thus far. I want to be a help, in whatever way, to those who will allow me to in order to bring glory to Him.

"Tried by Fire" Summary
In early September 1987, in the small southern town of Calhoun Falls, South Carolina, sixteen-year-old Christy Bowman was filled with life-long dreams of graduation, college, and a career. I'm glad He is aware of my beaten path and He will bring me out shining! That's a good reminder for when we are on that beaten path of troubles and struggles. And it's comforting to know He will search for us. He loves us that much!
